Who we are

Bee Bold Alliance is a network of conservationists and citizen scientists, gardeners and farmers, activists, artists, tribal leaders, and educators who support pollinators, and those working to ensure their survival and well-being.

We are an information resource for Mendocino County and beyond, sharing information, planting guides, and other useful insights into how we can help restore pollinators to our ecosystems through actions large and small.

We teach people how to create bee gardens, help citizens and businesses create low-care bee habitats in yards and landscaping, and teach gardeners and farmers practical alternatives to pesticides.

We practice the intentional art of music and dance for cultural and lasting systemic change within our communities to cultivate healthy and regenerative relationships with the natural world.

Our conservation work starts at home, focusing on our local region through outreach programs, school education, workshops, classes, speakers bureau, printed and digital teaching materials.

Our Allies

Our allies are many:

  • Youth and Students who ask, “What is happening to our planet and to our future?”, “What can we do?”;

  • Our First Nations brothers and sisters who hold ancestral place-based knowledge for health;

  • Our rural neighbors seeing their local ecosystem poisoned by pesticides, devastated by the clear-cutting of our last native forests, and threatened by the increased fire risk of climate change;

  • Artists who have unique knowledge to offer creative solutions for how we can live with the Earth;

  • Citizens of more urban areas whose lives are shaped by paved roads, concrete buildings, and sterile landscapes that eliminate wildlife and alienate us from our innate love of nature;

  • Conservationists coping with the practical and psychological challenges of climate change and mass extinctions;

  • Home gardeners, professional landscape designers, and farmers who understand the importance of bees and other pollinators to their efforts and to all life;

  • And our many non-profit, B Corps, and business partners who work directly or indirectly to support pollinators.
